Ready made design. Pollinator garden plan

Here is your easy to care for California friendly pollinator garden design plan. I made up this poster in partnership with Shore Gardens Nursery in San Clemente. They are a gem of a neighborhood plant shop, I source my plants there whenever I can. Stop in there today and ask for these, if they’re not in stock they can suggest others that will blend seamlessly.

This combination of native plants, plus one South African, were chosen for they’re hardiness, big nectar-filled blooms, and ability to handle regular garden watering. Many of our natives will die if watered more than once a month in the summer after establishment. These ones are more tolerant of a hose-happy gardener. They would prefer very little summer water after the first year planted, and in the winter if we are getting regular rain, you can turn off the irrigation until it warms up again.

This design is great for that strip along the driveway, or that strip of dirt between the sidewalk and road no one knows what to do with. Bring a little habitat back and the butterflies with reward you with a visit!
