Every client asks if I know a good gardener! Since I don’t have the time to open a maintenance division I have started to offer ongoing consultations to keep your garden looking good the first year and beyond.
California native and drought-tolerant gardens are constantly evolving. As plants mature and seasons change, their watering, pruning, and maintenance needs change too. Even with a regular gardener, specialized guidance can make all the difference. Native plants especially have unexpected dormancy seasons and need extra care when watering.
Our Native Garden Stewardship Program is designed for Orange County homeowners who already have a gardening service but want the added confidence of professional landscape design expertise.
Through quarterly garden consultations, we help ensure your landscape continues to grow beautifully, maintain its original design intent, and thrive in Southern California's unique climate.
What's Included
Quarterly Garden Consultations
Four seasonal visits per year, each including a 60–90 minute walk-through to evaluate your garden's overall health, appearance, and performance.
Plant Health & Irrigation Assessment
Professional evaluation of plant growth, seasonal stress, irrigation performance, and watering needs, with recommendations to support healthy, water-wise landscapes.
Seasonal Pruning & Maintenance Guidance
Specific recommendations for pruning, deadheading, and seasonal plant care, helping your gardener maintain the natural form and beauty of California native and drought-tolerant plants.
Native Plant Replacement Recommendations
Expert guidance when plants decline, outgrow their space, or need replacing, with thoughtful plant selections that complement your existing garden design.
Weed & Invasive Species Monitoring
Identification of problem weeds and invasive plants, along with recommendations to help protect your garden's health and balance.
Garden Performance & Design Review
An ongoing evaluation of how your landscape is developing, with suggestions to improve plant combinations, seasonal interest, habitat value, and overall garden aesthetics.
Personalized Quarterly Garden Report
After each visit, you'll receive a written assessment outlining observations, seasonal recommendations, and prioritized action items.
Coordination With Your Gardener
When needed, we'll communicate recommendations directly to your existing gardening service, helping ensure your landscape receives appropriate care.

Annual Program Investment
$1,800 per year
Includes four quarterly garden visits, personalized written reports, seasonal recommendations, and gardener communication as needed.
Equivalent to $450 per quarterly visit.
Please note: This is a professional garden consulting and oversight service, not a hands-on maintenance program. Gardening labor, pruning, irrigation repairs, plant purchases, and installation services are not included.
